Public Consultation on Proposed Merger Regime
On 20 October 2006, the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) launched a three-week long public consultation on the proposed merger regime under the Competition Act as set out in the following documents:
· Consultation Document · Draft Amendment Bill · Draft CCS Guideline on the Substantive Assessment of Mergers; and · Draft CCS Guideline on Merger Procedures

The CCS will finalise the Competition (Amendment) Bill, taking into consideration the feedback and comments received. The finalised merger guidelines will be published once Parliament has passed the Bill.
