2. Description of the merger
The notification is in relation to a voluntary conditional cash offer by Dubai Drydocks World LLC (“DDW”) for all the issued and paid-up ordinary shares in the capital of Labroy Marine Limited (“LML”). DDW and LML are of the view that given the strong competitive nature of the shipbuilding/repair/conversion, as well as rig building industries and the multitude of competitors in the worldwide markets, the merger, when carried into effect, will not lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the relevant Reportable Markets.
