Knowing the competition law sets you in the right direction.
Education and Compliance
In this section, you will find an introduction to the Do’s and Don’ts of the Competition Act and information on compliance programme.
A compliance programme provides an internal framework for ensuring that businesses comply with the competition law. It may comprise elements such as training to raise awareness of the law, the use of checklists to ensure compliance by individual staff with company policies, recording systems to document any permitted contacts that staff have with competitors, and independent reviews of agreements, behaviour and staff to monitor ongoing compliance.
While CCS cannot endorse individual compliance programmes, businesses are encouraged to take proactive steps to ensure compliance with competition law. They are encouraged to self-assess and seek professional advice where necessary.
