CCS Digital Animation Film Contest

Background

Jointly organised by the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS) and Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Interactive and Digital Media, the official education partner, this contest aims to raise awareness of competition law in Singapore, generate greater understanding of how competition law operates and inform viewers of the benefits of CCS’ enforcement of competition law. Specially, it aims to spread messages on the benefits of competition, and competition law compliance and helps stakeholders correctly understand CCS’ role and responsibilities from a cinematic creative point of view. View the contest's microsite here

Eligibility

a) There are 2 cateogories in this contest:

i. Open Category: This category is open to all, including professionals and freelancers.

ii. Student Category: All full-time students currently enrolled in schools and institutions of higher learning in Singapore, including the ITEs, polytechnics, universities, as well as art academies, colleges and institutes are eligible to participate in this category. Secondary schools and junior college students are also welcome to submit their entries. 

b) Students who wish to participate in the Open category, or both categories, are welcome to do so. Those who wish to participate in both categories have to submit a different film for each category, i.e., each entry can only be submitted for ONE category.

c) Participants can register for the contest as individuals or in groups of not more than five members. Participants may comprise individuals from varying age groups.

d) Each participant can only be part of one team. Each team is allowed to submit more than one entry.

e) All entries should be built around any of the 5 given storylines. Participants are free to determine the title and content of the animation film within the context of the 5 given storylines.
