The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (“CCCS”) and the Law Society of Singapore are proud to jointly present the “Consumer Protection Primer” webinar. 

Participants will be introduced to CCCS’s work in the consumer protection field in this webinar. CCCS officers will provide an overview of the consumer protection regime in Singapore, unfair trade practices under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 (“CPFTA”) and how CCCS administers and enforces the CPFTA. Distinguished legal practitioners experienced in fair trading law will also discuss and share their perspectives on working with CCCS to file injunction applications against errant suppliers with the courts and advising clients on the CPFTA. The topics to be covered include investigations, procedures and legal proceedings under the CPFTA, as well as recent cases.
