Visit by the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Lao PDR

On 4 September 2026, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCS) hosted a delegation from the Department of Internal Trade (DOIT), Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Lao PDR. The delegation was led by Mr. Phouthavan Nanthavong, Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce. During the visit, CCS shared its experience in implementing competition policy and consumer protection in Singapore. Both sides also exchanged views on key competition and consumer protection issues.
