Visit to the State Administration for Market Regulation in Beijing
11 September 2026
On 11 September 2026, a CCS delegation led by Chief Executive Mr. Alvin Koh visited the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) in Beijing to deepen exchanges on competition issues relating to artificial intelligence (AI) and digital markets.
The agencies shared updates on their latest workstreams and had fruitful discussions on approaches to addressing competition issues in AI and digital markets. These included algorithmic collusion, technical approaches to gathering and analysing digital evidence, as well as merger assessment and review processes.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong relationship between CCS and SAMR and provided an opportunity to explore further cooperation between the agencies, including in areas beyond competition, such as consumer product safety.
