CCS Clears Proposed Air Cargo Agreement between Qatar Airways, IAG Cargo and MAB Kargo
16 September 2026
1. The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (“CCS”) has cleared the proposed joint business agreement between Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C. (“QR”), IAG Cargo Limited (“IAGC”), and MAB Kargo Sdn. Bhd (“MABK”) (collectively, the “Applicants”) (the “Proposed JBA”).
2. The Proposed JBA would allow the Applicants to cooperate on scheduling, pricing, and sales for air cargo transport services across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Americas routes. Based on the information gathered, CCS concluded that the Proposed JBA is unlikely to eliminate competition on the affected routes. CCS also assessed that the Proposed JBA could generate market benefits such as a wider network and better cargo services that more than make up for the reduction in competition on those routes.
3. CCS issued the clearance decision on the Proposed JBA on 16 September 2026. Please refer to CCS’s public register (opens in new tab) for more information.
