CCS is 20
Join us in celebrating two decades of excellence as we foster competition and protect consumers in Singapore.
Established in 2005, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore is celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. Over two decades, CCS has embarked on a pioneering mission to introduce competition law to Singapore, advocating greater opportunities and choices for businesses and consumers. Today, our expanded consumer protection mandate, together with the addition of product safety and legal metrology functions, has broadened our role in shaping well-functioning markets.
These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of our stakeholders. As we step into our third decade, CCS remains steadfast in strengthening Singapore’s markets to keep them competitive, innovative, and fair for the future.
CCS 20th Anniversary: Making Singapore’s Markets Work Well
CCS commemorated this milestone on 25 September 2025 with a dinner celebration graced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong as the Guest-of-Honour. The event brought together former and present CCS officers, key partners, and stakeholders to reflect on our shared achievements and reaffirm our commitment to protecting consumers and foster vibrant markets that fuel sustainable growth.
We unveiled our refreshed logo, reflecting our confidence in new beginnings and signalling growth, maturity, and renewed clarity of purpose. Additionally, CCS produced a commemorative video and booklet titled “20 Years of Making Singapore’s Markets Work Well”. The video reflects on the journey and mission that defines CCS, capturing the essence of our unwavering commitment to fostering fair competition and protecting consumer welfare in Singapore’s evolving marketplace.
